The Tithe Barn Hotel is a historic townhouse that has been refurbished to the highest standard but still retains its original charm. Derwentwater Pier is particularly lovely and you'll want to take some photos there. Allonby Beach is also a must visit and the hosts recommend you stop by The Lakes Distillery for a tasting. They also have a lovely bistro and the setting is a former Victorian farmstead’s cattle parlour. If you fancy a pint the town is famous for its Jenning's Brewery where you can also enjoy a tour and sample of their beers. Tilia, next door to the hotel has a lovely menu and when you're done exploring you can head back to Tithe Barn Hotel and head down to the Tithe Tap, a hidden speakeasy and gin bar offering decadent cocktails and delicious charcuterie boards.
