Hidden River Cabin

0

£240.00 up to £715 per night

Found in a secluded spot between the Lake District and the Scottish border, the Hidden River Cabins are large and luxurious – perfect for getting away to rural Cumbria in style. Make your choice from five incredible log-built lodges in peaceful surroundings, each sleeping between six and ten guests. On the banks of the River Lyne, these eco-friendly cabins sit comfortably amongst nature. Each cabin is kept cosy with a combination of solar power and a wood-burning stove. The countryside setting makes them the perfect place for pets to unwind too, so it’s a real plus that dogs are welcome at each of the Hidden River Cabins. All cabins are equipped with a hot tub looking out over the river, and an outdoor seating area for dining and relaxing. There are three cabins which sleep six: Roe Deer, Otterstone and Kingfisher, which feature two double bedrooms and a sofa-bed. All have that unmistakable log cabin ambience, from the modern bathroom to the fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable living area, complete with TV and DVD. Two larger cabins, Bluebell and Foxglove, add a pair of twin rooms to the mix, making them ideal for groups of up to ten. Two of the bedrooms have a TV and these two cabins benefit from the luxury of underfloor heating. If you fancy getting social around a barbecue when the weather is fine, you can rent one for the duration of your stay at any of the cabins. From the great fishing location of the Otterstone cabin to Kingfisher’s elevated river view, every one of these lodges is in a beautiful position. They’re all kitted out with luxury bed linens, duvets and logs for the wood burner, so all you need do is turn up and make yourself comfortable. Hidden River Cabins lie around 11 miles from the city of Carlisle and even closer to the edge of the magnificent Kielder Forest Park which stretches to the border of England and Scotland. Exploring the best of the borders is easy, with the likes of Gretna Green, Carlisle Castle and the Solway Coast not far away. The area is great for all kinds of activities too, from paintballing to flying and 4x4 off-roading… or perhaps you would prefer the simple pleasures of walks in the woods or down by the river. Be sure to drop by the Hidden River Café too, where there is always something tasty being cooked up, whatever the time of day.
