    By Lake Windermere in the stunning Lake District are five luxury holiday cottages in the grounds of The Swan Hotel. Known as ‘The Nests’, each enjoys spectacular views across the beautiful surrounding countryside. The largest of the cottages is The Dormouse, which sleeps up to eight people (six adults and two children). Here there are two super king-size bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, plus a children’s bunk room with four single beds. There is also a further family bathroom. Meanwhile, the living quarters consist of the sitting room with log burner and flat screen TV, as well as a fully equipped kitchen/diner with a range cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer. Outside is the private terrace with an outdoor fireplace. The Hedgehog, The Mallard, and The Owl Nest all have a similar spec, although vary slightly. They also sleep eight people, with two super king-size and en-suite bedrooms. The children’s bunk room has two singles, while there is a further super-king room which can also be set up as a twin if required. Once again there is a sitting room with log burner, kitchen/diner, and private outdoor terrace.
