Bailebeg Cottage

0

£795.00 up to £1,305.00 per week

This gorgeous stone cottage has recently been refurbished to create a luxurious little hideaway for couples or small families in the Cairngorms National Park. It’s set on the 3,500 acre Delnabo Estate with woodland and fields rising behind it and stunning views down to the River Avon. It’s the perfect spot to escape the busy everyday and reconnect with the outdoors. Enjoy long, scenic walks in rugged Highlands landscapes, tour whisky and gin distilleries or even head up into the mountains for some skiing in the winter. After a day’s exploring, you’ll be able to put your feet up back at the cottage in front of a fire and enjoy a dram of local whisky. The cottage has been beautifully decorated and furnished in greens and blues, reflecting the colours of its spectacular natural setting. You’ll feel right at home as you’re greeted by a modern, country-style kitchen with a table beneath the window. This means you can start the day by rustling up a cooked breakfast and enjoying the view while you eat. The cosy sitting room is the place to be in the evenings, with a comfy sofa and armchair and an ottoman to put your feet up on or to play board games on. On chilly evenings, get a fire going in the log burner and snuggle up while you plan the next day’s adventures. There are two bedrooms, both designed to be relaxing spaces with soft lighting and comfy beds. One room features a double bed and the other has twin singles, making it perfect for couples or small families. The bedrooms share a large family bathroom with a shower over a bath where you can enjoy a long soak after a walk in the Cairngorms. There’s plenty of exploring to do right on the doorstep with walking and cycling trails, quad biking and horseriding to get you out into the unique landscape of the Highlands. Head to one of the nearby estates such as Rothiemurchus to try clay pigeon shooting or Glenlivet for some watersports. Several estates also offer opportunities for fishing or, if you’re visiting at the right time of year, visit Braemar or Tomintoul to experience the Highland Games. There are also historic houses, castles and beautiful gardens nearby, such as Balmoral or you can book yourselves in for a tour at one of the many distilleries nearby.
