The property is on the main grid power supplied by Bulb (using only sustainable power), also there are photovoltaic panels and a clever Zappy electric car charger enabling you to holiday in comfort and style, with a lower carbon footprint. Straight through the garden gate and out on to the beach, the loch is the perfect place for some early morning wild swimming. There are plenty of amazing guided kayaking options available locally for all levels of experience. Sailing, sea snorkelling safaris, whale & dolphin watching and fishing trips all go from the pier in Gairloch village just 12 miles away. White sandy beaches and turquoise waters are within walking distance, or a quick drive over the headland will take you to Mellon Udrigle, one of the most breath-taking beaches on the west coast. The small vibrant crofting community of Aultbea has cafes, a Russian Arctic convoy museum, an abundantly stocked local shop, Aultbea Stores, with deli/ bakery and an outstanding range of gins and whiskies. For the keen hill walker Bliss Haus is an ideal location to explore on foot or on two wheels, with a vast array of trails and walks. The Fisherfield Forest - also known as the Great Wilderness - contains the most remote Munros in the whole of Scotland. The route is an epic trail encompassing five Munro mountains and one Corbett (like a Munro but slightly smaller). Lovers of the great outdoors really are spoilt here with stunning natural landscapes, outdoor adventures and abundant and diverse wildlife.

    This beautifully renovated 19th century granite lodge is set in the heart of the charming village of Grantown-on-Spey at the start of the famous Speyside Whisky Trail. Inside, you’ll find five bedrooms, spacious living areas and even a custom whisky bar over three floors. In the evenings, after some exploring in the Cairngorms National Park, get a fire going in the wood burner and sample some local whiskys at the bar. Outside, the large garden is the perfect place to relax on sunny days with a hot tub, outdoor dining area and BBQ. The living areas on the ground floor are all designed for large groups to relax and socialise after a busy day exploring this spectacular part of Scotland.     Tucked away in the hills above Nethybridge in the Cairngorms National Park, the Crofts are two houses which provide a cosy hideaway for up to 12 guests and an extra two children. The separate buildings provide plenty of flexibility for families travelling together and are centred around a huge deck where you can relax in the hot tub or at the bar while you take in the stunning mountain views. Spend the day exploring the Cairngorms, hiking and biking in summer and even skiing in the winter, before heading back to the Crofts for a cocktail on the deck and session in the sauna. The houses are traditional 18th century stone buildings which still have plenty of their original charm and character and stand just 20 metres apart. They’re in their own four acres of grounds with the River Spey flowing below and incredible views of the Cairngorm Massif rising in the distance. The large deck area outside helps you make the most of these unique surroundings as you cook outside on the BBQ or prepare some drinks at the bar. The hot tub and sauna will be welcome after long hikes in the mountains and in the evenings, gather around the fire pit and plan the next day’s adventures while stargazing and toasting some marshmallows. The owners have provided Fairtrade coffee beans, organic teas, sugar and basic condiments. The bathroom is a particular delight with a designer bath and separate rain shower with a glazed door leading to the outside area. Depending on the weather you can take a hot shower and look out on the blustery wilderness or have the door open and feel like you're showering in the open. The place is remote so no fear of anyone seeing you in the all together! Underfloor heating and a whole range of fabulous toiletries and beauty products complete this treat of a room. When it's time to sleep you'll find a handmade king-size bed with organic cotton bed linen and a goose down duvet, perfect for dozing off in whilst listening to the sounds of nature.
