Snowy River Lodge

0

£2,975.00 up to £6,600.00 per week

You’ll find Snowy River Lodge nestled on the banks of the River Dulnain in the Cairngorms National Park amidst spectacular Scottish landscapes and farmland. This huge log cabin packs in plenty of charm with its locally sourced wood features and North American memorabilia and sleeps up to 12 guests, making it perfect for getaways with groups of friends or extended family. It’s equipped for any time of the year, with a large garden to enjoy in the warmer months before becoming a cosy sanctuary in the winter with a log burner to keep you toasty.

On the ground floor, you’ll find a big open plan living, dining and kitchen area which has been designed for entertaining large groups. The kitchen, with its double oven, dishwasher and two wine fridges, is equipped for creating anything from quick breakfasts to big family dinners. Any kitchen helpers can pull up a stool at the breakfast bar and help with the chopping or prepare a cocktail for the chef. There’s a large dining table on one side of the kitchen and on the other, you’ll find the cosy lounge. After dinner, get a fire going in the log burner, snuggle up in one of the armchairs or big comfy sofas and get stuck into a board game.

There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, a cosy double which also has space for two children and a bunk room with space for two adults and a child. Upstairs, you’ll find two huge super-king rooms, both with ensuite shower rooms and a snug with two bunks.

On sunny days, open up the patio doors in the living area and head out into the riverfront garden. This space has been designed to help you make the most of your spectacular surroundings. Relax in the hot tub or the barrel sauna as you listen to the sound of the river flowing by or sit out late into the evening, toasting marshmallows over the fire pit as you do a bit of star gazing. Steps take you down to the riverbank where you can paddle in the shallows or even try your hand at fishing.

The lodge is located just a few minutes’ walk from Carrbridge, known for some of the best skiing in the Highlands. However, you’ll find plenty to do at any time of year. You’ll find a traditional Highland pub, restaurants and shops in the village and the Landmark Forest Aventure Park nearby. The bustling town of Aviemore is just a short drive away where you’ll find tips, guides and equipment for all kinds of outdoor activities that will take you deep into the Cairngorms National Park.
