Inside, the kitchen is furnished with a fridge and a gas cooker, and all the rooms are powered using solar-powered 240v sockets. Though the shower promises limited hot water, the Swedish woodfired hot tub outdoors promises relaxation under the stars. This flat-roofed, circular-fronted timber lodge blends beautifully with its natural setting, surrounded by native grasses, meadow and wild flowers and overlooking the breath-taking Tweed Valley. Floor to ceiling windows complete the front exterior of the property, offering captivating vistas whatever the time of day or night and whatever the unpredictable weather might bring. You can also relax and unwind in your own private hot tub looking at the stunning view and enjoying a little bit of luxury! Step indoors and enjoy the dramatic landscape from the comfort of the spacious, open plan living and dining area. Light the woodburner and take your seat on the stylish mid-century inspired furniture, including a deep corner sofa, put your feet up and relax. Take a nature-filled wander around the surrounding land and keep your eyes of open for their resident barn owls. There are also tawny owls, yellow hammers, herons, hares and deer plus the farm's pigs, Romney sheep and hens. If you fancy enjoying a scenic walk and some farm animal and wildlife spotting you can enjoy a hike around West Bastlebog's organic land, hiking in the Lammermuirs or Cheviots. You may also want to spend some time relaxing on some of the nearby beaches or taking in the sights on some rugged coastal walks. Comfy bed with windows on three sides allows you to wake up to a lovely view of your surroundings.Situated in the extensive and delightful grounds of Dod Mill which you can explore as you wish.Sat in the Scottish Borders close to the boundary with the Lothians and the city of Edinburgh is within driving distance.YOU SHOULD KNOWThe property does not have a shower, but guests are given access to a 'Wash Room' that has a shower and is shared by guests of a few other properties.There is no conventional oven, but you can cook using the log burner which has an in-built oven and stove top.You have a cool box, but no fridge.There is a great space outside the Fishing Hut for an additional tent.
