Oakwood Stables is a duo of two gorgeous Sussex holiday cottages that were lovingly created out of two former stables. Sleeping up to 10 guests across the two properties, this is the perfect stay for big group getaways close to the South Downs National Park. Both stables have been lovingly converted into a destination holiday cottage in the quiet village of West Ashling, where gorgeous interiors and rustic, bespoke furniture await you and your guests. And the easy access between the two cottages ensures you can socialise together as a group with ease. Entertain around a handmade dining table in Lucky’s Stable (the larger of the two) and relax into your hot tub under the stars before sharing stories around the fire. Silhouette’s Stable also has its own private hot tub, so no matter which of the two you’re staying in, you’re never far from the hot, bubbling water. When bedtime beckons, you can slumber in luxurious beds that leave you deeply refreshed ready to explore the rich culture and countryside of West Sussex. You'll know that you've reached a place designed for peaceful holidays and total relaxation with all the comforts of home. Lucky’s Stable sleeps six guests across three bedrooms, with space for one additional child guest on a pull-out sofa bed. The final four guests are accommodated in Silhouette’s Stable, which has two bedrooms and comfortably sleeps four guests, with another sofa bed for an extra child. As you enter Lucky’s Stable through the floor-to-ceiling picture doors, you'll find yourself in a bright and spacious open-plan living space accented with dramatic lighting. Vintage leather chesterfield sofas are set around a welcoming log-burning stove and provide the ideal spot to gather with friends to plan your next day’s adventures or just relax with a film on the smart TV. The modern kitchen is kitted out for creating feasts with all the appliances you will need and is a charming mix of contemporary design and rustic features such as wooden beams and open brickwork. The handmade dining table with bench seating and feature lighting overhead is a lovely sociable space to enjoy evenings over a delicious meal or maybe some board games and drinks. Silhouette’s Stables has another cosy and comfy living room, where vintage leather sofas sit around a log burning stove. Stay toasty in front of the fire whilst enjoying views out to your garden. The kitchen here is also kitted out with everything that you need to make delicious food, which you can share around the bespoke dining table. No matter which of the two cottages you’re in, gorgeous double bedrooms await. All of the bedrooms feature luxurious bedding and beautiful designer wallpaper and they’re all designed in restful shades of nature and feature sumptuous cushions and throws in rich fabrics and colours. The properties both have stunning bathrooms, with walk-in showers and sparkling facilities. A boot room is a useful additional extra at Lucky’s Stable, with ample space for storage and a place to pop muddy boots after a day’s hiking on the South Downs. When socialising together be sure to spend time in either of the decked gardens. You can chill out on large sofas in front of a roaring fire set in the outside fireplace at Lucky’s Stables or lounge in either cottage’s large hot tub as the stars emerge overhead. The gardens are both completely enclosed, perfect for children and your dogs to play in happily. There is even a dog wash area to clean up your muddy canine friends afterwards! The towns of Emsworth, Bosham and Chichester are all nearby and offer a choice of shops, pubs and restaurants, or if you are feeling more active, the South Downs National Park is on your doorstep and is a paradise for hikers and cyclists alike.     The eye-catching Vista Point, near Angmering on the West Sussex coast, is an incredible five-bedroom holiday home designed by renowned 20th-century architect, Patrick Gwynne. Completed in 1970, it retains much of its 70s aesthetic – which will delight fans of the decade’s design – while adding some present-day touches. The stunning sea views remain as captivating as ever, too. Looking out over the garden, the living room has stylish seating for eight, as well as a 42” Smart TV with Netflix, Blu-ray and Sky TV. A Bose stereo with Bluetooth receiver lets you stream music straight from your own device, and you can walk straight out to the balcony overlooking the lawn and swimming pool. Resplendent in orange, the spacious kitchen wraps around the front of the house. The look is retro but the appliances are bang up to date – you have a DeLonghi coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, double oven and hob, plus a whole lot of extras which should cover all your entertaining needs. The adjoining dining room lets up to ten guests enjoy its ocean views – the positioning of the main rooms on the upper level was a deliberate choice to make the most of them. You will find the sleeping quarters downstairs, with a quintet of bedrooms occupying two separate wings. Featuring a king-size bed with White Company linens, the master bedroom has its own en suite navy bathroom with bath and overhead shower. Bedrooms two and three can accommodate a further three guests between them, and share the yellow bathroom, while the remaining pair (one of which has bunk beds) have the use of the turquoise one. All have built-in wardrobes and look out over the gardens. The spacious, newly built games and cinema room comes with a full-size table tennis table and an 85” TV with Dolby Atmos surround sound, perfect for a movie night. A sun room looks out on the pool, and has a small kitchen and a changing area with shower. You will see that the pool itself is as intriguingly shapely as the house; the smooth curves and unusual angles lend a character to the place which is rarely seen today. As well as the gorgeous pool, the generous sized garden comes with loungers and has been landscaped to create a cool hidden area with a firepit. There's a sunken SafeSpring trampoline - great fun for kids (and grown-ups too). There is also a veg patch and greenhouse, and guests are welcome to help themselves to whatever's in season, including delicious fresh tomatoes, cucumber, courgettes, sweetcorn, kale and raspberries. Located on a private estate, you can walk straight down to the beach from Vista Point’s garden gate. It’s an easy walk to the cafés and pubs of East Preston, with Angmering close by and Littlehampton just over three miles away. Within around 15 minutes’ drive, you have Arundel Castle on the southern edge of the South Downs, plus Goodwood Racecourse, Bognor Regis and Chichester a little further west… there’s no shortage of scenic places inland and on the coast around this area. It’s not often you come across a place as evocative as Vista Point – you are sure to be talking about it long after you return home.

A truly beautiful and historic property, The Cottage's exterior showcases its Tudor heritage, as rose bushes line the walls of the original exposed oak beams. The interior is equally as impressive, with period features - such as timber beams, vaulted ceilings, and an inglenook fireplace - being perfectly complimented by a combination of antique furniture, varied artwork, and modern conveniences. The grounds of the estate are over 17-acres and it has numerous activities such as tennis, croquet, and fishing on offer to keep guests occupied, ensuring that leisure and comfort are catered to in equal measure. There is a spacious, open planned living and dining area with a large set of windows which bathe the room in light and offer gorgeous views out over the garden.
