Ein Cynefin
£2,915.00 up to £3,575.00 Per week
You'll find this beautiful 19th century manor house nestled in the countryside of North Wales, offering plenty of privacy and luxury. The house is owned by two sisters who belong to the area and their careful restoration and refurbishment of the house celebrates its heritage with work by Welsh artists throughout the house, cushions and wall hangings by Melin Tregwynt and antiques such as miners' lamps on display. Snuggle up in front of a wood burning stove, try a tune on the baby grand piano or head out to explore the acre of private garden, picking apples and playing games on the lawn. If you fancy venturing out to explore Wales, the mountains and the coast are both less than 30 minutes away with charming villages and breathtaking scenery to discover along the way.
Step inside Ein Cynefin, originally built in 1850, and you'll be greeted by a grand double-height entrance hall, complete with a sweeping staircase, glass dome and a baby grand piano. Make yourself at home in one of the three living areas. Choose from the cosy snug with its log burner and comfy seating, the bright and airy morning room or the elegant formal drawing room with its views over the fields. Prepare the family favourites in the stylish, contemporary kitchen equipped with state-of-the-art appliances and a large dining table perfect for gathering together. On special occasions, set the table in the formal dining room, perhaps even getting a chef in to take care of the cooking.
Head upstairs via that magnificent staircase to find the five spacious and beautifully furnished bedrooms. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and has been individually furnished to show off its character and each bath is deliberately placed so you can sit and view the surrounding countryside. There are four rooms with double or king size beds and a twin with room for travel cots or additional single beds in most of them. The ensuites feature walk-in showers or beautiful roll top bathtubs, the perfect spot for a soak after a long walk in the countryside.
The house is surrounded by an acre of completely private garden, with lawns on three sides providing plenty of space for outdoor games, BBQs and lounging in the sunshine. Enjoy meals alfresco out on the patio with views out to Moel Famau, the highest mountain in the Clwydian Range, beyond the rolling farmland. You're welcome to forage for wild garlic and blackberries and pick apples from the orchard to add a bit of fresh local flavour to your meals.
Ein Cynefin is set in a fantastic location, close to Manchester and Liverpool airports, 15 minutes from the train station in Chester with a direct train taking just two hours from Euston. Once you've arrived, you'll find plenty of outdoor exploring to do with Loggerheads Country Park, Moel Famau and Talacre Beach all within 30 minutes of the house. Venture a little further afield and tackle the peaks of Eryri (Snowdonia) or stroll through the beautiful Bodnant Gardens. For a bit of history, visit the 13th century Chirk Castle, explore Conwy Castle or watch barges cross the spectacular Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. People love to visit the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct because it's a World Heritage Site and to test their head for heights by walking across it!
