Loch Ribbon Bothy

0

£150.00 up to £180.00 per night

The Bothy is small and perfectly formed for two, tucked away in a secluded spot surrounded by jaw dropping scenery. This really is a dream escape for couples needing to recharge. This perfect, quaint hut has been thoughtfully designed to provide cosy comfort and is filled with local artwork, colourful textiles and everything you'll need to hide from the world. The interior has a comfy living area with a wool tweed-covered sofa in front of a wood burner where you can kick off your boots and toast your toes with a glass of wine as you unwind from everyday life. Despite the secluded location there is WiFi throughout, so bring a laptop and curl up to watch a film or leave the rest of the world behind and bring that book you've been meaning to get to. The kitchenette is pretty and fully equipped for the preparation of delicious meals, which you can enjoy together at the perfect for two table. In the summer months salad leaves are available from the garden together with fresh vegetables and fruit that you're welcome to. The bedroom is on a platform above the living area and can only be accessed by climbing a ladder. This makes the most of the space provided and is a cosy cubby with a double mattress, 100% natural linen bedding and a toasty wool-filled duvet where you can sleep deeply with the sounds of nature all around you. Rise in the morning and help yourself to the Tiree tea and local coffee – the hosts have provided a cafetiere and milk too! And once you're fully awake you can revel in the spacious shower room and indulge yourself with the Argyll Botany bath products whilst your towel stays warm and fluffy on the heated towel rails. On a sunny morning you might like to take your breakfast out on to your private larch deck and soak up the lovely views of Loch Riddon as you plan your day. You'll be surrounded by walking routes and you don't have to go far to see some stunning sights. You may spot gannets, seals and otters along the way, as well as ancient ruins, standing stones and mountains. Wild swimming, kayaking and sailing are also popular locally. There are lots of fantastic places to dine nearby including the award-winning Inver restaurant a short 20-minute drive away on the shores of Loch Fyne. This is a destination restaurant and it's best to book in advance. The Colintraive Hotel is only three miles away and is a really cosy pub with sea views, perfect after a big walk. They Oystercatcher is a great choice for dining in by the fire on 'dreich' days, or sitting outside when the weather is fine. Drive over to Kames and stock up at the Village Store before heading back to your hideaway and lighting up the BBQ, opening some fine wines and maybe having a wee dram too.
