£325.00 up to £655.00 per night
Built in the mid-19th century and situated in the tiny village of Great Bircham, this charming cottage offers home comfort and luxury in equal measure. Formerly owned by Sandringham Royal Estate, The Workers Cottage was lovingly restored in 2021 by its current owners. The utmost care and attention to detail has gone into the pristine exterior and slick interior. The latter has a bright and airy colour palette, gorgeously complimented by period features such as exposed brick walls and timber framed ceilings. The patio and garden area are beautifully kept, making for the perfect spot to enjoy an evening tipple or to dine al fresco. And should you fancy a relaxing soak, you will have your own private bath cabin for added luxury. Sleeping up to six guests across three rooms, The Workers Cottage offers the ideal countryside escape for friends and family alike. The ground floor houses four rooms. The utility/boot room is accessed via the side entrance and there is a WC sitting adjacent. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all mod cons and has ample workspace, making for the perfect spot to prepare an evening meal for you and your fellow guests. There is a large dining table which comfortably seats six. Here, you will look out onto the garden through a set of patio doors. The living room sits beneath a timber framed ceiling with comfy seating and a cosy wood burner. Ascend the set of stairs in the living room where you will find the three bedrooms: one twin room and two king sizes (one with ensuite). The family bathroom has a bath and rainfall shower. The gorgeous outdoor space boasts a lovely decking area - complete with outdoor furniture and a barbeque - and a well-kept lawn which is afforded plenty of shade by several trees. A charming bath cabin also sits in the garden, looking down the lawn and offering a truly unique spot to lose oneself in. The village of Great Bircham is wonderfully positioned in relation to some of Norfolk's most popular locations and has a fab deli and cafe where you can enjoy a nice cuppa or a tasty lunch. The surrounding countryside is replete with walking and cycling trails, and quaint villages dot the landscape. Just a short drive to the north you will find the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty while Sandringham Estate - one of the Queen's royal residences - is open to the public and just to the west. The town of King's Lynn is less than a 30-minute drive away, while the historic city of Norwich is approximately one hour to the southeast.

Boasting battlements, turrets, parapets and grand windows, it’s your perfect luxury escape for groups of up to 30. Crossing the bridge over the moat and entering through the huge doorway takes you back in time. Timeless styling with luxury fittings set the stage for your getaway with friends and family. For those of you lucky enough… there’s even space to land your helicopter! Built in 1455 by the 7th Baron Scales, and with space for up to 30 guests in 15 bedrooms, the cavernous castle is the ideal place to reconnect with loved ones. The grand hallway boasts period features including an ornate floor and a vast staircase to the floors above. Moving through the ground floor, the main kitchen is the heart of the home and is fully equipped with everything you need to ensure large groups are well-fed and watered. The traditional AGA steals the show, but the traditional worktops and neutral tones create a welcoming space. A large dining table and set of chairs make the kitchen the ideal spot for a casual bite to eat, but for a special occasion, the grand, oak-panelled dining room is a place like no other. Middleton Castle also has an additional Prep Kitchen, should you need it. In the summer months, fire up the BBQ, light the fire pit and venture into the private gardens for some alfresco dining. During the days, wander the mature gardens that have plenty of space for the kids to run around, play croquet or boules, catch some rays or simply take in the tranquil North Norfolk countryside. As the nights draw in or during the colder weather, light one of the grand fireplaces and spend the evening with friends and family. Gather around for a board game or make your way to the billiards room for snooker or table tennis. For something a bit different, why not don your finest and use the vast castle for a murder mystery game? When it’s time to head to bed, make your way to one of the 15 beautifully decorated bedrooms. The master suite has a beautiful ensuite and adjoining reception room and there are four additional ensuite bedrooms, as well as four double bedrooms, three twin rooms and three multiple zip and link bedrooms that all combine to ensure there’s space for the whole group. There are a mix of ensuite and family bathrooms all boasting luxury fittings that match the grand surroundings of the castle. Wake up refreshed and recharged ready for the day ahead. Further afield, seals can be seen at Blakeney Point and the stunning North Norfolk coast is a short drive away, whilst a day spent on the golden sands of Wells-next-the-Sea beach is unforgettable. Nearby King’s Lynn offers a range of independent shops, cafes and restaurants, as does Norwich, with its stunning mediaeval architecture and thriving art scene set among historic surroundings.
