Set in the wide-open countryside of Norfolk on Salle Moor Hall Farm you’ll find four unique and handcrafted wagons offering secluded and romantic retreats, perfect for couples. 37 years of carpentry experience have gone into creating these beautiful, bespoke wagons which have been built with the environment in mind and as this is an adult’s only site, you’re guaranteed a bit of peace and quiet. Spend your days exploring the beautiful expanses of sweeping Norfolk countryside before gathering around the fire pit in the evening to do a bit of stargazing and then retreating to your cosy hideaway.
The wagons are all unique and have their own character. They have been built using larch, cedar and oak and incorporate reclaimed features such as doors and ironwork. The site is solar-powered and you’ll find vintage furnishings inside the wagons. The interiors are cosy and luxurious with rustic but high-quality features.
Light the wood burner on colder evenings and snuggle up under the duck down and feather duvet. Start your mornings with a delicious cup of coffee brewed in the solar-powered kitchen and refresh yourself with a hot shower in the Bathhouse next door. The Bathhouse is a masterpiece in itself, based on a Victorian agricultural trailer and with intricate artwork on the walls.
Outside, you’ll find space around your wagon where you can sit back and soak up the rays on sunny afternoons. You can choose to have a bit of peace and quiet or join in with the action in the communal dining area and around the big fire pit in the evenings.
Salle Moor Hall Farm rents out its land to local businesses, such as breweries and artisans. Wander along to the All Day Brewing Company and learn a bit about the process of creating beer and cider while tucking into a wood-fired pizza. Or, if coffee is more your thing, head down to the Norfolk Coffee Co., and pick up a bag of their house blend to try back at the wagon. Prairie Skies is also just a mile away from the market town of Reepham which is well worth exploring. There’s a completely car-free cycle route which will take you all the way to Norwich, or hop in the car and you can be at the coast or the broads in just half an hour.
