Once dinner’s ready you can take it outside and eat on the patio in the fresh country air, or sit inside at the pretty Indian dining table and enjoy meals that stretch long into the night. The more active of you can also enjoy some canoeing or fishing out on the picturesque River Wye, or explore the spectacular Brecon Beacons on foot or by bike. You're also in a great spot from which to enjoy other nearby walks amongst the orchards and hedgerows of rural Herefordshire, whilst enjoying far-reaching views from the Malverns to the Black Mountains. You may also want to cross the river and explore the superb Moccas Park National Nature Reserve. The markets towns of Hereford, Hay on Wye and Presteigne are all within a 20-minute drive and offer fantastic independent shopping, farmers' markets and good places to eat. Just up the road you'll find an excellent farm shop full of local produce. There are also plenty of award-winning local pubs in the area. If you wish to explore on foot you can walk from the house down part of the Wye Valley Walk to Brobury Bridge and then onto the Red Lion at Bredwardine. It's a lovely walk and takes about a good hour.
