Lovingly restored, The Shires is a contemporary barn conversion on the edge of the pretty seaside village of St Agnes, just 1.5 miles from the coast. Combining both traditional character and modern living, it’s the perfect holiday property for a family or group of friends (and their dogs!) to explore this beautiful part of Cornwall.
The property has a reverse layout with two bedrooms on the ground floor. Bedroom number one has a king-size bed, Smart television and en-suite shower room, while bedroom number two has two single beds, which can also be converted into a second king-size bed. The family bathroom, also on the ground floor, contains a shower over the bath and a WC.
The first floor contains the open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, all with high vaulted ceilings and wooden beams. The living area has a selection of comfortable seating, Smart television and a cosy wood burning stove – the perfect place for relaxing after a day on the beach or exploring Cornwall. The kitchen is well-equipped with a modern design and a range of appliances, including dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine.
The Shires has use of the lovely communal gardens and a private patio area. There is a store room with beach equipment for guests to borrow, as well as storage for bicycles etc. Here you’ll also find outdoor furniture and a barbecue for use during your stay.

    Stay just 500 metres from Newquay’s beautiful Watergate Bay at Watersend House. This gorgeous seaside getaway offers stunning views across the sea in one of Cornwall’s most majestic locations. Guests step out onto a large deck with plenty of seating where you can sit in the sunshine taking in the spectacular views. Then for that added touch of luxury there is a hot tub sitting in the garden meaning you can hop in for a soak after a day out exploring the Cornish coast. With numerous balconies and outdoor areas, this is the perfect home for soaking up the sunshine whilst breathing in the fresh Cornish air and taking in the amazing surrounding scenery.
