    Located on a UNESCO world heritage site on the edge of St Ives Bay, surrounded by three miles of sandy beaches and with an ever-present Atlantic breeze, Hayle is a surfing and windsurfing hotspot, it's also great for swimming and days on the beach. A paradise for nature lovers and bird watchers, the estuary is managed by the RSPB, and as the first town in Cornwall to be awarded "Walkers Are Welcome" status, its footpaths are well maintained and a pleasure to explore. There are plenty of facilities, from shops and galleries to restaurants and supermarkets, providing everything needed to enjoy a relaxing seaside escape. St Ives and the Tate Gallery is within 6 miles, as well as a huge variety of Cornish villages nearby.     This impressive, Colonial style house, located in the traditional Cornish fishing village of Polperro, was designed by an American architect in the 1930s. The large verandah and the two terraces were built with long summer days in mind, enjoying meals outdoors and entertaining late into the evening. In the cooler months, retreat indoors and stay cosy by the log fires and enjoy the newly refurbished interior with its colourful modern artwork. Comfortably sleeping up to 12 guests, Palm Court is perfect for big family get togethers or seaside escapes with friends. The interior feels bright and spacious, thanks to the big windows and white walls throughout. Natural materials and neutral colours have been chosen for the furnishings, creating a relaxed atmosphere, while the collection of modern artwork adds subtle splashes of colour and character. There are several large living spaces with log fires and views over the garden as well as a games room with a pool table. The kitchen is fully equipped to cater for large groups and there’s plenty of room for everyone around the dining table. You’ll find the theme of natural materials and furnishings continues through to the bedrooms, creating calming spaces with comfy beds that promise a good night’s sleep. You’ll find five of the bedrooms on the first floor. There are two luxurious super king rooms with ensuite bathrooms, along with a double, a twin and a bunk room that share a bathroom. You can wander along the coastal path in either direction and enjoy some spectacular coastal scenery. Head one way and you’ll reach the idyllic town of Looe and in the other, you’ll find Polruan and Fowey where you can go kayaking or enjoy some of the freshest seafood at one of the restaurants.
